About Me

Most of my career has been spent sitting with parents during moments that felt overwhelming, frightening or out of their control. I've walked alongside mothers and fathers carrying their own histories of trauma while trying to show up for their children. What I learned is that most parents are doing their very best with what they've been given. They don't need judgment. They need someone steady in their corner who can help them make sense of what's happening and find their footing again.

I've also spent years as a supervisor and leader, supporting social workers and other helping professionals through heavy caseloads, difficult decisions and the quiet toll that caring for others can take. I know what it looks like when someone is capable on the outside and running on empty on the inside.

A little about me

Outside of my work, I'm a new mom, still learning the rhythm of sleepless nights, tiny victories and a heart that suddenly lives outside my body. I'm also a Black woman and a millennial who has spent years building a career in fast-paced, demanding spaces, often wondering how to hold it all without losing myself along the way.

For a long time, I dreamed of creating a therapy space for people like me. People who grew up hearing that therapy wasn't for us, who learned to push through and keep things in the family, or who tried therapy once and didn't feel seen. This practice is that dream coming to life: a place that feels safe, welcoming and real, where you don't have to show up polished or have it all figured out.

When you talk about feeling stretched thin, carrying expectations that feel heavier than they should, or trying to find your place in spaces that weren't made with you in mind, I'll understand, not because I read about it, but because I've felt it too. Our stories won't be the same, and I'll never assume they are. But you won't have to over-explain yourself here. You can just come as you are.

Who I work with

I support teens and adults working through trauma, stress, burnout and big life changes, including new and experienced parents, caregivers, working professionals, recent graduates, and millennial and racialized folks who want a therapist who understands the fuller context of their lives.

How I work

I go at your pace. My approach is trauma-informed and culturally responsive, drawing from Solution-Focused Therapy, culturally adapted CBT, Narrative Therapy, ACT and somatic approaches depending on what fits you. I also make room for the bigger picture, family, work, finances, identity and the systems you've had to navigate, because those things shape how you're really doing.

I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) and am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, providing psychotherapy to teens and adults across Ontario.

Virtual sessions across Ontario

Sessions are online, so therapy can fit into your real life, whether that's after the baby is down or between meetings, from wherever you feel most comfortable. Looking ahead, I'm hoping to create a warm in-person space of my own one day, but for now, virtual sessions mean I can walk alongside people right across Ontario, wherever this season of life finds you.

Getting started

Reaching out takes courage, and you don't need to have the right words yet. You're welcome to book a free consultation to ask questions and see how it feels to talk with me. I also keep a limited number of sliding-scale spots available, because support shouldn't be out of reach when life gets hard.
