Anxiety & overthinking, when your mind won't switch off
Your mind is always three steps ahead, replaying conversations, bracing for what could go wrong. It's exhausting, and it's not a personality flaw.

What this can look like
- Replaying conversations and wondering what people really meant
- Racing thoughts at night that make it hard to fall or stay asleep
- Tight chest, stomach knots or restlessness with no clear cause
- Putting things off because starting feels overwhelming
- Needing reassurance, then doubting it almost right away
How we'd work on it
- Understanding what your anxiety is trying to protect you from
- Body-based tools to calm your nervous system in the moment
- Noticing thought spirals early and gently stepping out of them
- Building confidence to act even when uncertainty is still there
What sessions feel like
We slow things down, get curious about the patterns, and practise tools you can use the same day, not just in session.
Everything is virtual, by video or phone, for teens and adults located in Ontario.

A few honest questions
- Is overthinking really something therapy can help with?
- Yes. Overthinking is usually anxiety doing its job too well. We look at what your mind is trying to protect you from, and practise ways to step out of the spiral earlier.
- Will I get tools I can actually use day to day?
- That's the point. You'll leave sessions with things to practise in real life, ways to calm your body, catch thought spirals and act even when you don't feel certain.
- What if my anxiety doesn't feel 'bad enough' for therapy?
- If it's costing you sleep, peace or presence, it's worth support. You don't need to hit a crisis before you're allowed to ask for help.
- New parent support & postpartum adjustmentBecoming a parent can be tender, disorienting and lonely all at once. You can love your baby deeply and still grieve the life, body and rhythm you had before.
- Professional & caregiver burnoutYou're the reliable one. At work, at home, in your family. From the outside it looks like you're managing, inside, you're running on empty and quietly resentful about it.
- Trauma-informed, culturally responsive careTrauma shapes how safe the world feels in your body. You don't have to retell everything to be believed here, and you don't have to explain your culture before you can be understood.
- Life transitions, feeling stuck, starting freshSomething ended, or something needs to. You're between chapters, and the in-between is uncomfortable, even when the change is one you chose.
- Relationships & communication, feeling heard and connectedThe same argument keeps coming back. Or you swallow what you need to say to keep the peace. Either way, you're tired of feeling unheard.
